DF Concerts appointed Alltec Construction to provide bespoke solutions for various crossing points to suit the new T in the Park site at Strathallan Estate. The new festival layout required 7 temporary bridges over the Machany & Presney burns, large tributaries to the River Earn. The site had strict environmental conditions placed upon it, with major concern for pouring concrete foundations so close to the river banks.
We designed a support solution that utilized driven screw piles, screwed low enough to be hidden by the vegetation allowing them to remain in place all year round. Bridge sections were fabricated at our Glenrothes workshops and once transported to site craned into position. This solution allowed for the bridges and support foundations to be removed easily without leaving any real trace of construction.
