Alltec Work Place Challenge

15 Million Step Challenge for Aberlour – Scotland’s Children’s Charity

From January to April, the team at Alltec Construction took on an ambitious workplace challenge in support of Aberlour – Scotland’s Children’s Charity. The goal? To collectively walk 15 million steps in 100 days—a challenge that not only promoted physical wellbeing among staff but, more importantly, raised vital funds for vulnerable children and young people across Scotland.

To mark the end of the challenge in true Scottish spirit, the team climbed Ben Lomond on Saturday, 22nd April, completing the final stretch on day 101 with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

We are proud to share that the team successfully completed a total of 15,069,819 steps and raised an impressive £1,258.53 for Aberlour. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and teamwork of everyone involved.

Aberlour works tirelessly to support children and families facing adversity—including poverty, discrimination, and a lack of access to essential services. During a recent visit to our offices, representatives from Aberlour shared how donations like ours directly impact the lives of those they support. It was an honour to welcome them and present the BIG cheque, and it was inspiring to hear first-hand the difference these funds will make.

Sadly, 1 in 4 children in Scotland live in poverty, a statistic that drives our determination to be part of the solution. Not all children are born with equal opportunities, but by standing together, we can help change that.
