    PROJECT DESCRIPTION

ŠKODA West End Garage came up against logistical, staffing and capacity issues with their Bannockburn facility, it was quickly realised that this site had been outgrown and a new modern facility was required. Alltec Construction worked closely with ŠKODA West End Garage from the outset helping procure and establish the Forthside Way site. Once the site was secured, Alltec Construction were appointed as Principal Contractor on a Design & Build contract to construct all aspects of the proposed ŠKODA garage.

The works comprised; Site clearance of vegetation and debris, installation of; tubular steel driven piles, ring beam foundation with concrete slab, steel portal frame with purlins and staircases, roof and wall cladding, curtain walling including windows and doors, sectional roller shutter doors, internal fit-out, mechanical and electrical design and installation including biomass boiler system, state of the art garage workshop, hard and soft landscaping both on and off site, and all new utility service connections with all associated testing.

Alltec Construction handed over the new purpose-built retailer facility to Skoda West End Garage to whom officially unveiled with a grand opening. The new site located on Forthside Way is just half a mile from the City Centre and vastly improves transport links and footfall to the showroom. The immediate area surrounding the site has gone through a regeneration in recent years and has now become a destination point for retail and leisure thus providing great amenities to the new site. The premises incorporates a new eight car showroom and seven ramp MOT/ workshop garage with the latest ŠKODA plant and equipment including 4 wheel alignment, adaptive cruise control and lane guidance calibration facilities. ŠKODA West End Garage Stirling project was streamlined throughout its entirety, from the first spade in the ground to its completion.

    • Location : Glenrothes, Fife
    Project Description

The façade replacement project at Bosch Rexroth Glenrothes was carried out to bring the public face of the manufacturing and offices building in line with the modern face of Bosch Rexroth. The new positive environment benefits staff and customers and also upgrades industrial estates in town.

The works involved the removal and down taking of dilapidated curtain walling, secondary steelwork and asbestos insulation board to the main front facades whilst the building remaining fully functionable throughout. Working on a live building brought about various issues but were managed and mitigated on site by our experienced Project Managers.

After completion of the down takings phase, we proceeded with the erection phase, all the existing steelwork was prepped and painted then new structural steelwork installed to take curtain walling, cladding, windows and entrance canopy with an internal fit-out including M&E package.

To complete the façade works our Civils Team constructed a new slabbed path and entrance ramp for disabled access with all the associated handrails and tactile paving. Overall finishing the project a very high standard.
